Van Dijk, speaking about the club's recruitment strategy, rejected the idea that Liverpool are no longer capable of attracting top-tier players. "I don't think there's any doubt that a club like Liverpool is attracting very, very good players," he said. "If someone's doubting that, then they're just trying to be a little bit bitter."
The centre-back, who has been a mainstay of Liverpool's defense for years, acknowledged the club is navigating a period of change but expressed confidence in its direction. "I think Liverpool is still one of the biggest clubs in the world," he added. "We all know that we're going through a transition and you either want to be part of it or you don't. I'm part of it now."

"Let's see what happens, but I think he's a very good player," he said. Asked what qualities stood out about the winger, Van Dijk pointed to his attacking threat. "Pace, speed," he said, before recalling a specific moment from Barcola's career. "I remember a goal he scored against Chelsea away. It was a pretty good finish as well."
