England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland all know their routes through the Women's World Cup play-offs as they bid to secure a place at next year's finals in Brazil.
Each side must navigate two rounds of home and away ties to book their spot, with the opening legs beginning in October.
European champions England, managed by Sarina Wiegman, will travel to Crete to face Greece in the first leg of round one on Friday, 9 October, kicking off at 17:30 BST. The return fixture will be staged at King Power Stadium in Leicester on Tuesday, 13 October, at 19:30 BST. Both matches will be broadcast on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Should England progress past Greece, who are ranked 55 places below them by Fifa, they would face the winner of a tie between Slovakia and Ukraine in round two, with the away leg played first. Exact dates for potential second legs have yet to be confirmed, though they are expected to fall between 26 November and 5 December 2026.
England were not supposed to require the play-off route at all, but a difficult draw that pitted them against reigning world champions Spain in qualifying forced Wiegman's team into the additional rounds. Despite that setback, England appear well placed for the challenge ahead, having already beaten Ukraine 9-1 on aggregate during the qualifying group stage.
Wiegman named her provisional squad last month, notably omitting Ella Toone and Chloe Kelly. Explaining the decision, she said the pair had not been performing to their usual standard.
