The Premier League rumour mill continues to churn as the summer transfer window edges towards its climax, with several high-profile names reportedly being circled by rival clubs.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be readying an offer worth around £70m for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, whose form dipped notably last season. The situation, however, appears far from straightforward. Liverpool have publicly maintained they have no intention of parting with the Dutchman, insisting it would take an enormous fee to shift their position. Yet reports also suggest the Merseyside club would weigh any valuation of Gakpo against comparable deals struck elsewhere this summer, including Morgan Rogers' move to Chelsea. Spurs may need to dig deep into their resources if they hope to complete a deal.
Elsewhere, Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk—recently cleared to return to action following a doping suspension—has reportedly drawn interest from several Premier League clubs. Frank Lampard's Coventry City, where the former Chelsea manager has twice previously worked at Stamford Bridge, are named among the interested parties. Additional reports indicate two further top-flight clubs have made enquiries about the Ukrainian winger, alongside interest from three clubs on the continent.
Coventry's transfer activity extends beyond Mudryk, with the Sky Blues also linked to Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam. Italian clubs, along with Hull City and Ipswich Town, are reportedly in the race for his signature as well. Hull, meanwhile, have seen a second bid rejected for Augsburg midfielder Mert Kömür as they continue their search for midfield reinforcements.
Arsenal remain busy on multiple fronts. The north London club have opened formal talks with Newcastle United over Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães, though the two sides remain roughly £10m apart in their valuation of the 28-year-old. Reports suggest Arsenal could push through as many as six deals in the coming days, with Real Madrid's Vinicius Júnior and Barcelona's Ferran Torres also mentioned as potential incomings—though Torres joining the Gunners looks less likely given reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético Madrid, plus suggestions Barcelona wish to extend his contract.
On the outgoing side at the Emirates, AC Milan have been credited with interest in striker Gabriel Jesus, while Fábio Vieira and Christian Nørgaard have both been deemed surplus to requirements. Everton are reportedly close to agreeing a £7m move for Nørgaard. Arsenal are also said to be targeting several young domestic talents, including Blackburn forward Igor Tyjon, Cardiff midfielder Axel Donczew and Crystal Palace's Mylo Bernard.
West Ham United are searching for a new winger and have identified Tottenham's Manor Solomon as a potential target, though Fiorentina are also reportedly keen on the 27-year-old. Talks are said to be ongoing. The Hammers had hoped to sign Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor, but the Black Cats have decided against selling, prompting West Ham to prepare an £18m bid for AZ Alkmaar forward Troy Parrott instead. Competition for Parrott is fierce, with Porto, Como, Ajax, Real Betis and PSV Eindhoven all reportedly interested.
West Ham are also pursuing Celtic midfielder Arne Engels and are said to be preparing an improved bid. Meanwhile, Everton have identified Celtic full-back Alistair Johnston as a solution to their right-back situation, with the Scottish champions valuing him at around £15m.
