The transfer rumour mill continues to churn with a host of Premier League clubs linked to significant moves, headlined by Tottenham Hotspur's pursuit of Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen.
According to reports, Spurs have lodged an opening offer in the region of £55m for the 27-year-old Nigerian forward. However, the Turkish champions are understood to be holding out for a fee closer to £65m, suggesting further negotiations will be required before any deal can be finalised.
Elsewhere in north London, Arsenal appear close to completing a major midfield signing. Newcastle United and Brazil international Bruno Guimaraes, 28, is reportedly set to undergo a medical at the Gunners in a transfer that could be worth close to £80m, a move that would represent one of the biggest deals of the window.
Tottenham are also active on other fronts, having held encouraging discussions with Liverpool over a potential deal for Dutch forward Cody Gakpo. Despite the positive nature of the talks, Liverpool are said to have no plans to part with the 26-year-old, leaving Spurs' hopes in the balance.
In Spain, Atletico Madrid have reportedly turned their attention to Manchester City winger Jack Grealish. The 30-year-old Englishman is also drawing interest from Everton and Aston Villa, both of whom are said to be exploring the possibility of a bid, setting up potential competition for his signature.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are progressing on the goalkeeping front. Czech Republic international Lukas Hornicek, 24, has reportedly completed a medical with the Magyars after his £25.7m release clause at Braga was triggered, with the move from Portugal expected to be finalised shortly.
Hull City are proving particularly busy in the market, with several deals reportedly nearing completion. The Tigers are said to be close to agreeing a fee of around £17m for Nice striker Mohamed-Ali Cho, 22, as they look to strengthen their attacking options. Hull are also reportedly closing in on Australian defender Lucas Herrington, 18, in a deal worth £17m from MLS side Colorado Rapids, while also poised to beat competition from Rangers and Cardiff City for Norwegian midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl, 20, who is set to leave Tromso.
In west London, Chelsea have reportedly submitted an improved bid for Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarria. The Blues' initial offer of £12.8m was rejected by the Spanish club, who are said to be seeking closer to £21.4m for the 28-year-old defender, prompting Chelsea to return with a revised proposal.
Fulham are also said to be progressing with a double deal involving Real Madrid duo Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios. The 22-year-old striker and 21-year-old midfielder are reportedly undergoing medicals at the Cottagers after agreements were reached over permanent transfers from the Spanish giants.
With the transfer window in full swing, further developments are expected in the coming days as clubs across the Premier League and beyond look to finalise their squad plans.
