With the January transfer window fast approaching, Premier League clubs are already positioning themselves for a busy month of business, and Arsenal appear to be among the most active in terms of transfer chatter.
The Gunners have reportedly been boosted in their long-standing pursuit of Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz. German outlet Bild claims Bayern Munich will step aside from the race if a rival club makes a substantial offer for the Turkey international, who recently underwent surgery for a foot fracture. Real Madrid have also been credited with interest in the 20-year-old.
Arsenal's transfer activity doesn't stop there. The north London club are said to be in a three-way scrap with Aston Villa and Newcastle for RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, who reportedly carries a £60 million price tag, according to journalist Ekrem Konur. Arsenal are also understood to have made an approach to Club Tijuana for highly-rated Mexican teenager Gilberto Mora, as reported by El Porvenir, despite Liverpool previously being strongly linked with the 17-year-old. Mora, who impressed at this summer's home World Cup, is said to have a release clause of around £21.2 million, though Real Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Benfica are also reportedly keeping tabs on him.
Adding to Arsenal's list of targets, they continue to be linked with Manchester City's Julian Alvarez, while also keeping watch on Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane alongside Manchester United. Bild reports that Kofane has paused contract extension talks with Leverkusen after an agreement had reportedly been reached to extend his deal until 2031 with improved terms and the removal of his release clause.
Elsewhere, Erling Haaland's long-term future at Manchester City remains a subject of speculation. Reports have previously suggested the Norwegian striker could depart next summer with LaLiga sides Real Madrid and Barcelona interested, despite signing a new long-term contract last year. However, Football Insider suggests Haaland's ambition to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record could persuade him to remain in England, a decision that may also hinge on the outcome of Manchester City's ongoing appeal against their guilty verdict on 114 of 115 Premier League charges.
At Chelsea, the club are hopeful of winning the race for Alex Scott and may renew interest in Barcelona's Jules Kounde. Liverpool, meanwhile, are tracking several targets including Porto's William Gomes, whose release clause has reportedly been increased to €100 million (£85m) in an effort to deter suitors, with Manchester United also credited with interest in the Brazilian winger. Liverpool have further been linked with Marc Bernal and Lamine Camara, while continuing to monitor Kylian Mbappe's situation at Real Madrid.
Manchester United, who endured their worst start to a league season in 40 years following a 1-1 draw with Tottenham, are reportedly among several clubs chasing Atletico Madrid's Giuliano Simeone, alongside Manchester City and Tottenham. Despite their struggles under Michael Carrick, United are not expected to make a managerial change at this stage.
Tottenham, for their part, are reportedly considering a surprise move for Real Madrid forward Endrick, who could be loaned out again in January, though Aston Villa are also said to be plotting their own approach. Spurs are also facing a separate situation regarding winger Manor Solomon, with Shakhtar Donetsk chief executive Sergei Palkin confirming the Ukrainian club will seek compensation following Solomon's free transfer move to Spurs in 2023 and his subsequent £5 million switch to West Ham this past summer.
