Hall had been tipped for a possible switch to Old Trafford this summer following the exit of several key figures from the club, with reports suggesting United had identified him as their priority target to strengthen the left-back position. However, the England international has instead chosen to commit his future to St James' Park, extending an existing deal that already had three years remaining.
