Rangers are poised to complete the signing of PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech, with the 24-year-old Moroccan spotted at Ibrox watching the Scottish Premiership club's clash with Jagiellonia Bialystok ahead of the move being finalised.
The transfer is expected to go through on Friday, marking the latest piece of business in what has been a busy summer of recruitment for the Glasgow club. Driouech would become Rangers' tenth new arrival of the window and the second winger to join in recent days, following the arrival of Daisuke Yokota from German side Hannover last week.
Driouech predominantly operates on the left flank but is capable of playing on either side of the attack. Last season at PSV, he contributed nine goals and eight assists across 40 appearances for the Dutch champions. Despite those numbers, he was frequently used from the bench, starting only once in PSV's eight Champions League matches and coming on as a substitute 24 times in the Eredivisie.
Born in Haarlem, Driouech began his career in the Heerenveen academy before making his professional breakthrough there. He then spent three years at Rotterdam club Excelsior, where he established himself as one of the more exciting attacking talents in Dutch football, making 101 appearances and scoring 16 goals. That form earned him a high-profile move to PSV in the summer of 2024.
The winger is regarded for his pace, close control, and clinical finishing, along with his versatility to play on both flanks. Although eligible to represent France or the Netherlands, Driouech chose to play for Morocco, and he was part of the Moroccan squad that lifted the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
