Leicester City Put Up for Sale as King Power Seeks Exit After 16 Years

Leicester City are on the market, with owners King Power preparing to end a 16-year association with the club by seeking a sale valued at more than £200 million. A US investment bank, Citigroup, has produced an eight-page sales brochure, titled 'Project Lineup', which has been circulated to prospective buyers and seen by BBC Sport.

The document lists not only the men's first team but also Leicester's women's side, the 32,000-capacity King Power Stadium, and the Seagrave training ground, which opened in 2020 and is valued at £121 million. Belgian sister club OH Leuven is also included in the package. Together, the club's physical assets are valued at over £200 million, although no separate figure has been placed on the football operations themselves, which have struggled badly in recent seasons.

The brochure leans heavily on Leicester's history, highlighting the club as one of only five in English football to have won the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup since 2000.
