Transfer Rumour Mill: Liverpool Eye Barcola, Napoli Chase Gabriel Jesus, Spurs Linked with Balogun

The transfer speculation continues to swirl across Europe as clubs plot their next moves, with Liverpool reportedly leading the chase for Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola as the Merseyside club looks to reshape its attacking options following the Mohamed Salah era.

Barcola, a two-time Champions League winner, is said to be keen on a departure from the Parc des Princes, with Anfield emerging as his preferred next stop. However, Arsenal are also believed to be monitoring the France international's situation closely. PSG, meanwhile, appear to be moving forward on incoming deals for Barcelona's World Cup-winning forward Ferran Torres and Ajax winger Mika Godts. The 21-year-old Belgian had used the weekend to address speculation that he was deliberately avoiding selection at Ajax in an attempt to engineer an exit, saying he wanted to "put an end" to such talk.

Elsewhere, Tottenham full-back Djed Spence, who became something of a cult figure for England during the World Cup, could be plying his trade in Italy before long. Inter Milan are reportedly prepared to offer around £25.6m for the defender, who is said to be attracted by the idea of a move to San Siro. With Roberto De Zerbi having strengthened significantly at Spurs over the summer, Spence may otherwise face a battle for regular minutes in north London.

Napoli have intensified their pursuit of Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, who could be sold for approximately €20m (£17m). The Brazilian enters the final year of his Emirates contract and, with playing time potentially scarce at a title-chasing Arsenal side, a move to Naples may suit both player and club.

Arsenal, for their part, are said to admire Barcelona and France full-back Jules Koundé, though a deal appears far from straightforward. Koundé is reportedly content at Camp Nou despite Barcelona's potential willingness to sell a player with four years left on his deal. Complicating matters further, Barcelona's own preferred replacement for Koundé, Tottenham's Pedro Porro, recently signed a new five-year contract at Spurs, making him an unlikely target for now.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are reportedly showing interest in USA international and former Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun. According to L'Equipe, discussions have begun with Monaco over a potential €60m (£51.2m) transfer for the striker, who caught the eye during the World Cup. Monaco could also lose winger Igor Paixao to Premier League interest, with Leeds United said to be keen — though manager Bruno Genesio is reportedly determined to keep the Brazilian at the club.

In a separate development, Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk could be heading to Coventry City on loan following his return from a doping suspension. Newly promoted Coventry, managed by Frank Lampard, are said to have moved to the front of the queue for the Ukrainian's services, according to football.london.

Everton are reportedly considering their options at full-back, with Celtic's Alastair Johnson, West Ham's Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Genoa's Brooke Norton-Cuffy all under consideration. David Moyes will also be encouraged by reports that forward Iliman Ndiaye has turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. Fulham, meanwhile, are said to be keeping tabs on 20-year-old Barcelona defender Hector Fort, who spent last season on loan at Elche and may not have a long-term future at Camp Nou.

Finally, Manchester United have reportedly entered the race for Club Brugge left-back Joaquin Seys. The 21-year-old Belgium international could cost the Red Devils in the region of £30m should a deal progress.
