The rumour mill continues to churn as clubs across Europe prepare for the upcoming transfer window, with Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade emerging as one of the most sought-after names on the continent.
According to reports, several Italian sides have registered interest in the 24-year-old German forward, but Napoli are said to be leading the chase and are pushing hardest to secure Woltemade on a loan deal. The Serie A champions are reportedly keen to bolster their attacking options and view the Newcastle man as an ideal fit for their system.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Sunderland are said to be making moves on multiple fronts as they look to strengthen their squad. The Black Cats are reportedly confident of landing Manchester City winger Jack Grealish, 30, on loan, a deal that would give the England international regular football away from the Etihad. Sunderland are also believed to be closing in on Marseille winger Igor Paixao, 26, although the Ligue 1 club are said to be resisting efforts to let the Brazilian leave. In addition, the newly promoted side are reportedly monitoring Levante forward Karl Etta Eyong, 22, with a release clause of around £26m reportedly in place for the Cameroon international.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are said to be exploring a potential move for Lille winger Matias Fernandez-Pardo. The 21-year-old Belgium international is valued at around £60m, according to reports, as the Gunners continue to assess options to add depth and quality to their attacking ranks.
Liverpool's pursuit of Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr also appears to be gathering pace. The 28-year-old Senegal international is reportedly keen on making the switch to Anfield, with talks said to be ongoing between the two clubs over a potential transfer.
In Italy, Fiorentina have reportedly made contact with Leeds United regarding a move for Italy winger Wilfried Gnonto. The 22-year-old has been the subject of interest from his home country, with the Serie A side said to have made an official enquiry about his availability.
Aston Villa are also reported to be active in the market, having reportedly submitted an offer to Manchester United for Ivory Coast attacker Amad Diallo. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and Villa are said to be keen to bring him to Villa Park.
At Championship level, Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic has reportedly urged his club to reconsider a loan move for left-back Ryan Giles, 26, to Burnley, despite an agreement reportedly having already been reached between the clubs. Jakirovic is said to be keen to keep the defender as part of his squad for the remainder of the season.
Finally, AC Milan are reported to have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest over a move for winger Omari Hutchinson. The 22-year-old Englishman is said to be closing in on a switch to the San Siro as the Serie A giants look to add fresh options to their attack.
With the transfer window edging closer, more names are likely to emerge as clubs finalise their plans across the continent.
