Manchester City are pressing ahead with a busy period of squad rebuilding, agreeing a deal to sign Palmeiras winger Allan Elias while simultaneously working on the departures of several forwards and midfielders.
City have struck an agreement with the Brazilian club for a fee understood to be around €37.5m (£32m) with a further €2.5m (£2.2m) available in add-ons, taking the total possible value of the deal to roughly £34m. The 22-year-old, who made his senior debut for Palmeiras last year, has featured 96 times for the club, contributing nine goals and 12 assists, though he has not yet earned a call-up to the Brazil national team. A medical is expected to be arranged in the coming days.
Allan's arrival is widely seen as City's direct response to the expected exit of fellow Brazilian Savinho, who has told manager Enzo Maresca that he wants to leave the Etihad. Tottenham are in advanced discussions to sign the winger for a fee reported to be around £75m plus a further £10m in add-ons — a deal that, if completed, would represent a club-record sale for City.
