Despite the scale of their spending, sources close to the club suggest Chelsea's hierarchy feels little urgency for further major additions, with sporting directors satisfied with the squad's current shape. However, the situation surrounding Fernandez remains unresolved. An informal deadline set by Chelsea for offers on the Argentine passed without any bids arriving, yet Manchester City are believed to still hold interest in the 24-year-old.
