Curtis Jones Completes €30m Move to Inter Milan After 16 Years at Liverpool

By LiveScore365 Newsroom · Premier League Liverpool

Curtis Jones has officially ended his 16-year association with Liverpool, sealing a move to Inter Milan in a deal worth 30 million euros, with a further 5 million euros in potential add-ons. The 25-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the Serie A champions, running until 2031, while Liverpool have secured a 10 percent sell-on clause.

The transfer brings an end to months of speculation over Jones's future at Anfield. With just one year remaining on his contract, Liverpool faced the prospect of losing their academy graduate for nothing had they failed to sanction a sale this summer. The Merseyside club had knocked back an earlier verbal offer of 25 million euros from Inter in June, holding out for a fee closer to £35m before ultimately agreeing terms.

Inter had also attempted to sign Jones in January, when they proposed a loan deal with an option to buy, but that approach was rejected by Liverpool at the time. The Nerazzurri persisted, and Jones eventually became the third English player to join the club this summer, following in the footsteps of John Stones and Djed Spence.

Speaking about his decision, Jones expressed enthusiasm about his new challenge.
